Someone gave this book as a Christmas present. It turned up in a bookshop in Addis Ababa, with a family’s letter still folded inside. Between the Pages helps strangers bring lost things home. This letter is our first story.
First, read the story. A new chapter goes up every Sunday evening, each with one line of the letter. If it’s your family’s, you’ll be able to finish the sentences.
Next, light a candle. No account needed. Your town is shown; your name never is. In Ireland, a candle in the window on Christmas Eve welcomes strangers and lights the way home. Every candle here says: we’re still looking.
Then join the meitheal. It’s the old Irish way of working: when it’s your neighbour’s turn, you show up. A free account, for anyone sixteen or older, lets you vote on Fridays and send tips.
Pick your part: Postie, Neighbour, Archivist or Sleuth. Everyone who follows is a Lamplighter.
If someone is found, only a trained Keeper knocks, privately, once. Then they choose: yes, connect us; not yet; tell them I’m well; or no. “Not yet” keeps their place, like a bookmark.
Your story could be next. A lost letter, a dog that never came home, a brother you stopped speaking to. New stories open in January 2027. Join the waiting list now.
On Christmas Eve at eight, light a real candle in your window, and watch every lit window appear on one map.
Between the Pages. Some stories pause. They don’t have to end.
