Three kinds of story
- A letter or object
- A letter in a book, a medal, a photo album, a christening gown in a charity shop. A Keeper checks it within a day or two.
- A pet
- A dog that slipped its lead, a cat that never came home, a found dog with no chip. Checked quickly, because pets can’t wait.
- A person
- A brother you stopped speaking to, an old friend, a cousin who emigrated. A Keeper reads it carefully and may ask you questions first.
What happens next
- Your story waits here, private. Only you and the Keepers can read it.
- When it’s your turn, a Keeper gets in touch to talk it through.
- Together you decide what goes public. Then the meitheal can start helping.
We don’t take searches for children, for anyone who may be hiding from someone, or adoption searches, which have their own free service.
Stories about a person open only once our first Keepers are vetted and trained, because they’re the only people who ever make contact. You can add yours to the list now.
You’ll need a free account to send it, so a Keeper can reach you. You need to be 16 or older. Already have an account? Sign in.
