Words for local radio

About 30 seconds read aloud. Send it to your local station’s community noticeboard.

A Christmas letter written in Dublin in 2022 has turned up in a second-hand book in Addis Ababa, in Ethiopia, over 6,000 kilometres away. Daniel, who found it, now lives in Dublin and wants to give it back. Every Sunday on betweenthepages.irish he shares one line from it, with the names taken out, in case it rings a bell. Listeners in your area can light a candle for it on the website too. If you think you know the family, the site has a private way to say so, handled by trained volunteers. That’s betweenthepages.irish.

Can you help a Christmas letter get home? A family letter written in Dublin at Christmas 2022 was found in a second-hand book in Addis Ababa. Each Sunday, one line from it is shared at betweenthepages.irish, with every name removed, in case someone recognises it. You can light a candle for it there too. If you think you know the family, please don’t share names publicly; the website has a private way to tell the volunteers.
